I love the chunky white boarder used on this frame…

The space within is actually only A4 size, however I wanted the design to spill out, almost like its growing…

The frame colour was chosen to not only complement and accentuate the flower colours, but to match Alison’s décor at home… The bright pink dainty blossom preserved it’s colour beautifully during the pressing process, along with the dusty pink of the astilbe… 

The pressed eucalyptus created a natural frame for the flowers, popping in the back ground…

My creative method is always to start with the foliage first, then the lighter wispy elements. adding the heavier more solid flowers as features throughout the art…
