Erin had the prettiest selection of flowers, with subtle tones of pinks, powder blues and burgundy which have retained their colour during the pressing process, I was especially happy with how the pink gerbera’s preserved…

its all about timing when pressing flowers. I have a process… I put most of my presses in a food dehydrator for several hours, then leave them in a warm sunny place for around 10 days before opening to check on the progress…

If the flowers are very fleshy and have a high moisture content, like the  roses & gerbera’s in this bouquet, I’ll change the blotting paper and run them through the dehydrator a for a few hours, then another week or so in the press…

Erin chose a set of 3 frames for herself… two medium size frames for the mums… and 4 smaller frames for her bridesmaids…
