The best way to preserve the colour when pressing roses is to take the entire centre of rose out leaving just the shell… from here you can spread out the outer petals laying them flat on the blotting paper and press… 

The petals from the centre can then be pressed individually… when using this method the petals retain their full colour… you can then reconstruct the rose, gluing the petals back creating a layered effect…

Delphiniums press really well, they don’t have a lot of moisture content, which in turns speeds up the process preserving the colour… 

This bride chose my black metal frame set, which includes 5 different sizes… these look great hung in groups on a wall creating a collage effect…
